Technology Aspect
To establish a clear duty of care, Stellar Virtual and its affiliates require all employees to cover the costs associated with acquiring and providing the equipment (i.e., computers, internet service, telephone, home office setup, etc.) associated with virtual employment. Based on your position, you may be designated a company-issued device to use throughout your duration of employment.

Scope of Work

The Contractor of Data Entry is responsible for maintaining student records to ensure data integrity. This position primarily supports the needs of Texas Virtual Schools and is a contract-based position that supports the administrative needs of the Data Services team. 

Essential Functions

• Ability/willingness to learn PowerSchool to enter/maintain enrollment records (SIS);

• Maintain and update Academic Achievement Records/cumulative records through data entry for

students as directed by the Data Coordinator, academics team, and counselors;

• Assist with the registration process as it pertains to obtaining student records;

• Maintain and update Academic Achievement Records/cumulative records through data entry for

students as directed by the Data Coordinator, academics team, and counselors;

• Archive grades and transcripts;

• Coordinate and process the transfer and withdrawal of students following state regulations;

• Produce and send transcripts upon request, to pertinent and appropriate parties;

• Produce and send Verification of Enrollment (VOE) upon request, to pertinent parties;

• Collect and input data in areas of demographics, grades, and leaver information;

• Request student records from withdrawing from school and disseminate them to appropriate personnel;

• Release communications regarding student records and record retention when appropriate to inform families and on behalf of partner districts;

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

• At least two (2) years of data entry, clerical or secretarial experience;

• Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment;
