Job Description:Mechanical engineer with the following experience:

Solidworks 3D CAD system
Mechanism and static part design
Sheetmetal design
Machined part design
Root cause failure analysis
Rapid prototyping via 3D printing or outside vendor

Pay rate: $110/hr Estimated duration: Average of 24 hr/wk (minimum of six months, but could extend based on customer requirements) This position is a mechanical engineering position that will focus on the modification and improvement for existing products, which may require extensive redesigns. The candidate should be familiar with standard robotic mechanisms (i.e. motors, linkages, gears, belts, etc.), as well as sheetmetal design techniques (bends, folds, pierces, etc). They will need to expertise with the Solidworks CAD system, and be able to communicate efficiently with vendors for part procurement. Responsibilities will also include working with purchasing for quoting, testing and evaluating prototypes, working with test and manufacturing as necessary for implementation, and releasing changes via the Spectra EC process. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our Boulder, CO office. Relocation assistance is not available. Only local candidates will be considered WHY SPECTRA?
