Dover Precision Components is hiring a Continuous Improvement Leader at our Cook Compression manufacturing facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana. We offer competitive pay and benefits and the ability to be a key contributor at our innovative company.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Leader is accountable for supporting Dover Precision Components’ lean continuous improvement (CI) strategy which will result in a significant impact to Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety (QCDS).
In this role, you will provide training, expertise and direction for improvement activities to support the enterprise goals and objectives at plant/functional level. The CI Leader will also work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, as well as cross-functionally, to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective operational/business solutions for all aspects of the organization. Responsibilities include:
- Communicate Lean CI vision, monthly productivity, and CI results to plant and functional management, and corporate executive teams.
- Develop and Co-own CI roadmap to improve flow of material and transaction (targeting lead time reduction).
- Execute CI roadmap within the plant/function area. Participate/teach/lead the deployment of design for flow lean tools.
- Establish standardized work and audit schedule for sustainment. Drive and improve the QCDS metrics.
- Implement CI best practices across the plant/functional areas and share with the organization.
- Lead GEMBA walks and coach/mentor/train the plant/functional management team to deploy a consistent Daily Lean Management System (DLMS) and drive CI culture across the plant/functional areas.
- Teach problem solving skills to all employees promote the use of problem-solving tools within the plant/functional areas and become a subject matter expert.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or related field and/or equivalent work experience in manufacturing.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated process improvement experience.
- 3+ years of experience leading Kaizen events and deploying lean tools and principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.
- Lean or Six Sigma Certification.
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, and Power Point.

- Ability to build culture -Vision & Strategy for Continuous Improvement.
- Master’s degree in engineering or business administration.
- SME/AME/ASQ/Shingo Prizes Lean Certification or other Lean Black Belt certification.
- Experience leading 50+ Kaizen events.
