Common responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Lead and manage a team responsible for executing successful content strategies and marketing campaigns that drive results.
• Direct team members’ work, remove barriers to success, be proactive in identifying potential blockers, and recommend process improvements.
• Have open conversations with team members to understand task status, identify obstacles, and provide feedback and leadership.
• Provide conversion-focused feedback and suggestions for content marketing activities across all channels.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of SEO/ GEO, Google updates, and analytics.
• Communicate regularly with the Content Manager about any issues or challenges faced by you or your direct reports.
• Be a role model; lead by example in your communication and attendance.

Requirements

• Relevant Experience: You have 5+ years of experience in content production and growth marketing for product-led/ freemium SaaS, ideally in the B2B/ SMB space. 
• Team Management and Leadership: You have proven management experience and have successfully led a team of 3-5 people, including hiring, training, motivating, and retaining the best talent in the industry.
• WordPress Experience: You have a good working knowledge of managing self-hosted WordPress sites.
• Growth Marketing: You have experience in conversion rate optimization, email optimization, and video marketing
• SEO and GEO: You have advanced understanding of SEO best practices and AI platforms, including the use of generative AI to level up
• Content Strategy: You understand our target audience and can develop effective strategies to drive growth.
• Data & Analytics: You are comfortable creating your own reports in tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, GA4, and Looker Studio, and you know how to measure valuable outcomes on YouTube
• Communication Skills: You communicate effectively across the team and the business. This includes providing feedback and constructive criticism, listening actively, and presenting ideas and recommendations clearly and concisely.
• Continuous Learning: You show an active interest in emerging technologies and new marketing strategies.

• You have experience with areas of growth marketing, such as A/B testing, PPC, and affiliate partnerships.
• You have managed seasonal sales and large marketing campaigns.
