Job Description:
LSU Online & Continuing Education is seeking a detail-oriented Content Coordinator who will create, schedule, and distribute content across social media platforms. In this role, you will carry out a strategic social media schedule designed to elevate brand visibility, engage with target audiences, and achieve organizational goals.
The Content Coordinator will report to the Communications Manager and align social media messaging with broader marketing campaigns, manage content calendars, and analyze performance metrics.
Job Responsibilities:
CONTENT CREATION & COORDINATION: 40%
-Develop, schedule, and distribute content tailored to each social media platform.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure visuals and messaging align with marketing campaigns.
-Create and maintain a content calendar.
STRATEGIC PLANNING & EXECUTION: 25%
-Assist the Communications Manager in executing a strategic communications plan to meet organizational goals.
-Align social media efforts with broader marketing campaigns.
-Implement trends, tools, and best practices to improve social media strategy.
PERFORMANCE MONITORING & ANALYTICS: 20%
-Track and analyze social media metrics to evaluate effectiveness.
-Compile findings and provide insights to optimize future content and strategies.
-Conduct industry analysis to identify areas for growth.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: 10%
-Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions in a timely manner.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION: 5%
-Work with internal teams to align messaging and integrate social media initiatives with broader campaigns.
-Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all social media platforms.
-Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
3-5 years in social media management, marketing, communications, or a related field.
Specific Experience: Demonstrated expertise in creating, managing, and analyzing social media content across platforms.
Additional Requirements:
Operation Essential Personnel - This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01.
Additional Information:
Due to the nature of the position and/or responsibilities, in times of emergencies and/or University closures, this position is considered operational essential. It may be required to assist the Office of Communications and University Relations on necessary communications matters in times of crisis, including potentially working in LSUs Emergency Operations Center during those times.
