Quality Engineer – Retirement Solutions


Location: Columbus, Ohio (Hybrid: Monday & Tuesday in-office)

Retirement Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to lead Test Automation and overall Quality Efforts within the dynamic Retirement Solutions Business Application Suite. This hands-on role provides leadership across people, processes, and a variety of technology solutions supporting the Government and Institutional Market within Retirement Solutions.
As a growing business at the forefront of expansion in Government, Institutional, and Emerging Markets, Retirement Solutions offers a unique opportunity to directly impact these sectors. This role supports three or four agile lines operating within an Agile Operating Model, and partners closely with Business Owners to ensure successful quality delivery across a robust project portfolio spanning CBS, Strategic, and external demand.


Additionally, this role leads End-to-End Test and Project test lead Initiatives, requiring collaboration and coordination across internal and external agile teams.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Automated Test Strategy: Develop and implement automated test strategies for Retirement Solutions capabilities, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business needs.

  • End-to-End Testing: Manage testing efforts across organizations and provide detailed status reports.

  • Quality Engineering Practices: Continuously improve QE practices and processes.

  • Coaching & Mentorship: Guide and mentor other Quality Engineers in test strategies and automation techniques.

  • Defect Analysis: Conduct in-depth defect analysis for all Retirement Solutions Business Applications and report findings in Monthly Operations Reviews.

  • External Relationships: Build effective relationships with external business partners and service providers to ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT teams.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and implement continuous improvement processes to enhance product quality and team efficiency.

As a Quality Engineer you will plan and conduct a wide range of software quality tests and analyzes to ensure all application products and services meet organizational standards aligned to their quality management approach, as well as, end-user requirements. Quality Engineers perform our quality planning, quality design and execution.

You will focus on a blend of skills enabling efficient execution of risk-based testing, test automation, performance testing, test data management, test environment management, continuous integration and continuous deployment all improving speed to delivery for our business partners.

  • Oversees procedures to ensure all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.

  • Serves as an expert in the analysis and reviews requirements, user stories and technical work products to create the automation needed.

  • Responsible for applying secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions
