Job Description
The PgM Division of AECOM is actively seeking Construction Management candidates to enhance our project delivery role with experience implementing parks related enhancements including recreational facilities, comfort stations, playgrounds and various sitework projects. The applicant will be able to demonstrate progressive responsibility specific to a construction management career path.
The primary duties include construction inspection and documentation of construction projects under general supervision by a project manager and/or project executive. Requires a fundamental understanding of construction management, construction documents, contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction in the public sector.
Responsibilities include:
- Writing change orders and issuing field orders.
- Coordinating the activities of CM staff including Construction Inspectors, Contractors, and subconsultants.
- Planning and coordinating all field inspection activities and reviewing the work performed by contractors to determine compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Preparation of summary reports & meeting agendas/minutes.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules using industry-standard software.
- Managing project budgets and cost control measures.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing site safety protocols.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues.
- Conducting regular site visits and progress meetings with all relevant parties.
- Preparing and submitting permit applications and other regulatory documentation.
- Implementing quality control measures and conducting quality assurance inspections.
- Managing project closeout procedures, including punch list completion and final documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS plus two years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
- High energy, motivated & dependable personality
- Experience with Microsoft office as well as other construction related PC software.
- Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Registered Landscape Architect licensed in the state of NY, CMAA Certification, or OSHA 30 a plus
- Progressive experience on multi-disciplinary construction projects.
- Five years’ experience in facility, infrastructure and various sitework-related projects, and three years supervisory experience
