Construction Project Coordinator – JLL
What this job involves:
As a Construction Project Coordinator, you will hold a critical position within our regional projects team and be directly responsible for supporting the delivery of challenging corporate interiors projects for a financial services client. You will work collaboratively with internal teams, communicate customer requirements, and proactively manage project-related issues while facilitating effective communication between team members, project stakeholders and vendors to ensure all parties are informed of project updates and changes. With your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in project management technology, you will contribute to the successful delivery of projects by maintaining accurate project documentation, processing financial transactions, and ensuring adherence to vendor agreements and contracts.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Facilitate effective communication between team members, project stakeholders and vendors, ensuring all parties are informed of project updates and changes
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, financial reports, and progress updates
- Process and record daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Work with Accounting team members, communicating with vendors and clients, and serving as a liaison between Accounting and the Design and Construction teams
- Review and process project budgets, vendor proposals/bids, change orders, and invoices within the Project Management financial systems
- Confirm accuracy against the budget and/or contract to ensure financial compliance
- Ensure adherence to vendor agreements as it relates to contracts, affidavits & lien waivers
- Support project teams with administrative tasks and coordinate project activities
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years practical experience in construction or accounting
- Strong verbal & written communication skills & meticulous attention to detail
- Well-versed in construction methodologies and strong understanding of the various stages of construction, from concept to close out
- Ability to think and work independently, demonstrate initiative, and collaborate effectively with multiple individuals on various projects to meet assigned deadlines
- Software Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented and organized with a proactive and self-motivated attitude
- Understanding of financial processes and accounting principles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
- Familiarity with GMP contracts and other types of construction contracts
- Experience with PMWeb or similar project management software
- Experience with financial services clients and corporate interiors projects
- Knowledge of lien waiver processes and construction contract administration
- Understanding of change order management and budget tracking
- Experience with vendor management and procurement processes

Estimated total compensation for this position:
