Responsible for supervising the overall operation of a program, including multiple projects for one client, and implementing a clear line of communication between sales and technical operations. In addition, the Program Manager serves as a consultative resource for all existing and potential clients and may participate in presentations as required.  This role is responsible for budget management, cost management, scope management, risk, change management, and issue management for each assigned project and/or program.  The Program Manager will mentor and train team members. The Program Manager will be required to travel to client project sites.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations.

 

Core:

  1. Assists team to manage every aspect of the lifecycle of the program including consultants, general contractors, vendors, specialty contractors, budgets, internal departments, and developers.
  2. Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  3. Executes proposal development of client and project/program specific scopes of work and direct interface with sales staff to assure client’s expectations and needs are met.
  4. Utilizes web-based project management tools.
  5. Travel by Plane, Motor Vehicle, Train (50% of workweek) to client sites across the U.S. 
  6. Must dictate to the team the program’s standards and procedures.
  7. Serves as the main point-of-contact with client during the execution of projects and programs.  Prepares progress reports to share with client.  Assures client satisfaction and goals are met through timely responsiveness and feedback. Attends meetings with Sales team and client.
  8. Facilitates communication across work streams and projects to minimize disruption to the organization of program/project implementation.
  9. Responsible for managing programs within budget and on-time, while providing high client satisfaction. This includes managing budget, potential risk, client communication, change orders, and report delivery.
  10. Manages field staff and staff’s schedule.
  11. Involved in developing new service offerings. 
  12. Creates and develops report templates. 
  13. Responsible for proposal development of client and project specific scopes of work.
  14. Directly interfaces with sales staff to assure client expectations are being met.  Serves as an available consultative resource for clients and may participate in sales calls or presentations.
  15. Performs technical reviews of deliverables for technical accuracy, client expectations, compliance of scope and consistency.
  16. Reviews and evaluates work progress, identifies problems, and provides technical direction and guidance to assigned staff.
  17. Acts as technical lead, providing guidance and technical direction for field staff.
  18. Supports the department’s recruiting activities through resume review, phone screens, interviews, and selection of candidates for field staff roles.
  19. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying new and existing legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary action.
  20. Protects operations by keeping company information confidential.
  21. Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients’ needs.
  22. Demonstrates BV’s guiding principles in support of the company's strategic goals.
  23. Follows all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV's quality standards and strategic initiatives.
