Construction Manager - Engineering

• Manages personnel and consultants related to construction and operation of County roads for development projects.
• Coordinates construction operations and provides liaison between County departments, contractors, engineering professionals and the general public.
• Coordinates with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Inspectors, and Contractors to resolve construction issues.
• Participate is coordination meetings with Mobility team to provide consistency between County and private construction standards and expectations.
• Implements traffic control plans for new development in unincorporated areas and city extra territorial jurisdiction before acceptance into County road system.
• Responsible for activities and duties related to permitting on County roads and coordinates with appropriate County managers.
• Liaison between Engineering, FBC Road & Bridge, Drainage District and Developers/Engineering firms and contractors.
• Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate County managers.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 10 years job related work experience.
• Knowledgeable in sound and safe construction practices.
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $39.68 - $49.60 hourly based on qualifications

CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
