Construction Controller

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for month-end, quarterly and year-end closings.
• Manage general ledger and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Prepare and manage financial reports ensuring timely and accurate reporting and compliance with legal requirements and accounting standards (GAAP).
• Review financial transactions and statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and implement financial controls and policies to safeguard company assets and comply with financial regulations.
• Manage corporate tax obligations and reporting, ensuring compliance with tax laws and optimizing the company’s tax position.
• Collaborate with the finance team on finance, accounting, and payroll activities.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Prepare monthly management reports to present financials to the management committee.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related discipline.
• Able to work fully onsite
• Must have Construction experience
• Must have Sage experience
• Government Contractor and/or ESOP experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.
• Proficient in MS Office with advanced MS Excel skills.
