The Connected Factory - Operations Data and Analytics Engineer will be a versatile position with responsibilities across the organization working with materials, operations, and engineering – supporting all facets of assigned locations by supporting/linking critical shop activities and planning needed to ensure demand is met while aligning with the knowledge and connection of central efforts to standardize.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the operations connected factory effort as the site liaison.
- Alleviate digital burden from operation leadership by supporting the development, integration, and creation of centralized standard reports. Obtain and maintain information where the site may not have the ability to conform with standard reports.
- Assist in implementation and buy-in of tools launched by central team. Act as a liaison for site and bring improvement ideas to tools managed by central team.
- Collaborate with business counterparts and leaders to define requirements and work with local and centralized resources to deliver analytics solutions across the site with a focus on connected factory and shop scheduling.
- Understand business requirements through the customer intake process, including vision and scoping exercises with leads and data owners.
- Work across the analytics technology and resource teams to deliver consumer expectations.
- Identify key opportunities and create value propositions with business partners prioritizing critical use cases.
- Adopt and communicate new concepts, ideas, techniques, best practices and technology assistance.
- Perform product evaluations and proof of concepts.
- Seek out different ways to use current and relevant technological advancements.
- Proactively manage stakeholders to create positive outcomes for all parties.
- Incorporate agile methodology and practices for deliveries while working towards long term strategies.
- Uphold the code of ethics and business conduct.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelors Degree and 5 years experience, or an Advanced Degree 3 years experience.
- Manufacturing/Shop floor experience.
- Knowledge of cloud services and data analytics tools.
- Experience with integrating and querying relational databases (SQL/Oracle).
- Familiarity with Ignition SCADA (Python/Java).
- Results-oriented with strong technical and customer focus skills.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Dashboard creation within Power BI and/or SSRS.
- Databricks experience.
- MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) familiarity.
- ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) familiarity.
- Understanding of automation systems (robots, vision systems, PLCs, etc.) deployment and integration.
