What is Florida PALM?

The Florida PALM Project (the Project) is an enterprise project to replace the State of Florida’s legacy accounting, payroll and cash management systems, using an enterprise resource planning solution. The Department of Financial Services (DFS) is leading this statewide initiative, which impacts stakeholders and users of the State’s financial data including all State agencies.

SPECIAL NOTES:

Four (4) or more years of Information Technology work experience is required. A postsecondary degree in a relevant discipline (i.e., Statistics, Computer Science, or related field) from an accredited college or university may be used as an alternative for the years of experience on a year-for-year basis.

 

Additional requirements:

• Proven work experience in data collection or related role.
• Knowledge of data collection methodologies and statistical principles.
• Experience using various data collection tools and software.
• Proficiency in database management and data analysis.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all employee levels and levels of management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced culture of change and innovation.

 

Preferences:

• Experience working on system replacement projects and understanding of technical dependencies and required remediation efforts.
• Experience working with SmartSheet.
• Experience with API development using .NET Core framework.
• Participated in data conversion efforts to migrate data from a legacy system into a new system.
• Experience working with external team members and building strong working relationships.

• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter; taking initiative rather than waiting for direction.

The annual salary range for this position will be $75,000.00 - $90,000.00.

 

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
