JOB SUMMARY: This is a Computer Audit Analyst position in the General Tax Administration Program, Audit Process. The incumbent trains new and current employees in computer software, electronic auditing procedures, and electronic auditing software. The incumbent develops, maintains, and delivers educational courses, creates engaging audit training content that is delivered remotely, live, or online, and self-study courses, facilitating training through web conferencing software or in a classroom setting. The incumbent also performs audits with the trainee and may travel to the taxpayer’s location, retrieve data from taxpayer’s electronic financial systems and related records, and convert and import these electronic records into the applicable software applications, reviewing audits for quality control; assisting with the audits; providing feedback for development of audit procedures; and developing surveys to measure learner satisfaction and course effectiveness.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
- Three years of experience performing audits within the General Tax Administration Program's Audit Process.
- One year of experience training auditors in the General Tax Administration Program's Audit Process.
PREFERENCES:
- Preference will be given to sales and use tax auditors.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- All candidates meeting the minimum requirements will be interviewed.
- This position requires use of your personal vehicle to conduct work assignments.
- This position may require travel which may include multiple overnight stays.
SALARY: The hiring salary for this position will generally not exceed $5,422.90 monthly/$65,074.80 annually.
