Perform a variety of compensation activities related to the maintenance of Nelnet’s compensation system.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Review new positions to ensure proper classification. 
2.    Maintain job templates in Workday for Recruiting activities.
3.    Conduct market analysis projects to review competitive pay levels. 
4.    Oversee annual merit process for all associates.
5.    Work with Controllers in each business segment. 
6.    Oversee annual PBIP submissions and payments. 
7.    Conduct pay equity and diversity studies within the company. 
8.    Maintain salary ranges and broadband levels. 
9.    Continue to stay abreast of all compensation updates and changes. 
 

EDUCATION: 
A Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE: 
A minimum of three years hands on experience in Compensation, Payroll or Human Resources

COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
1.    Very detailed with strong skill set in analysis and auditing  
2.    Efficiency expert with ability to work multiple projects
3.    Advanced PC skills in Word and Excel

4.    Flexible, solution oriented collaborator
5.    Strategic contributor who takes ownership
6.    Clear, concise, and cogent communications in all mediums
7.    Strong talent for urgency, accuracy, and quality results
Compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 depending on experience.
