This position writes, coordinates, and executes a wide range of communications. Performs a variety of writing, design, and project management tasks while using good judgment and strong interpersonal skills to plan and execute communication strategies. Utilizes traditional and electronic publishing technologies to produce communications that implement project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Writes and executes a variety of communications including annual reports, blog posts, group email responses, meeting presentations, instructions, and marketing materials.
  • Identifies, uses, and tracks effectiveness of multiple communication channels for target audiences.
  • Edits and proofreads communications from other sources.
  • Manages incoming email and questions on intranet sites.
  • Incorporates graphics and photography in communication tools.
  • Manages communication assets and coordinates distribution.
  • Develops and adheres to project timelines.
  • Ensures that distributed material is accurate and timely.
  • May perform other related technical and communication duties, as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
  • Demonstrated writing and editing skills.
  • Proficient in desktop publishing, building presentations, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both individually and in teams.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Business, a related field, or equivalency.
  • Two years of related experience.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.

Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

  • Health care related experience.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop or other photo/graphic editing software.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.

  • This position involves light work that may exert up to 20 pounds and may consistently require light work involving lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. This position involves sitting most of the time and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
