We are excited to offer an exceptional 1-year internship opportunity designed specifically for students who are looking for a placement or graduate position. You will support us to continually improve our internal communication channels, with a focus on offline communication including corporate events and publications as well as digital collaboration. It is a varied and challenging role requiring proactive ownership of several responsibilities.

An important part of this role involves planning, writing, and editing compelling articles for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as employee newsletters and bulletins.

Note: All shortlisted candidates must be available to attend an assessment center at Hull University on 11th February 2025.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

• Create innovative and high impact campaigns that positively influence the intended audience and result in measurable benefits

• Help develop and implement internal communications and community engagement plans that support the business goals of the Hull site. This will involve some working with creative agencies

• Produce online brand assets to build and maintain an engaged social media audience

• Represent us in the local community, assisting with the planning of site tours from VIPs and media and managing requests from partners and charities

• Source appropriate merchandise and marketing materials to support external events

• Create and deliver projects and plans in line with activity timelines, KPIs and budget

What You Need to Make a Difference

A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

• You to be studying for a Communications, Media or Marketing degree working towards a 2:1 or above and ideally be in your final year

• Good knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint

• Knowledge of SharePoint, file sharing and storage of information

• Ability to prioritise workload, multi-task, work under pressure

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and confidence to communicate at all levels internally and externally

• Proactive and self-motivated individual, with the ability to set priorities and manage to tight deadlines

• Ability to use initiative
