The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.
Organization & Team Overview
The West Business Development team, led by Elaine Barden, VP of Business Development, drives strategic growth by identifying and executing market expansion opportunities in new construction, network expansion, and strategic partnerships. The team is responsible for the region’s strategic growth plan, ensuring Comcast Business and Xfinity sales thrive in new geographies. Through strategic analysis, planning, and execution, the team plays a key role in shaping both near- and long-term growth strategies.
Role Description
We are seeking a Business Development Intern to support our efforts in refining and enhancing our communication strategy. This role will provide hands-on experience in business development operations, communication planning, and strategic alignment. The intern will work closely with Katrena Chase and the broader team to ensure effective internal communications that support our business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in end-to-end process documentation to streamline and standardize business development workflows.
· Support the creation and execution of the Business Development newsletter, ensuring content is impactful and aligns with key business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify business opportunities.
· Assist in developing business proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
· Support outreach efforts to partners, and stakeholders.
· Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement growth strategies.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
· Analytical mindset with a keen eye for process improvement and efficiency.
· Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with communication tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, or similar platforms) is a plus.
· Preferred Majors: Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
· Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university · Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)
· Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)
· Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025
