Summary

Looking for a second or third year student to intern in our Distribution Maintenance Engineering Department for a long term internship. The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 29.5 hours per week maximum.

What You'll Do

Technical duties might include: 
• Work with engineering team in completing tasks related to maintenance inspection and design for distribution assets in the SRP system

• Assist in updating data analytics reporting and using analytics with presentation software

• Support engineering team to assess levels of risk related to work orders in the work management system

• Assist in the development of conclusions and reporting of results

 

Non-Technical tasks may include:

• Assist department in managing the wood pole asset management program (WPAMP) by creating work orders for pole replacements

• Identify areas for improvement within department processes

• Assist department in WPAMP administration and status reporting

• Validate the entry of serialization data from three-phase equipment inspections

• Assist department inspection teams by reviewing ad hoc streetlight pole assets

Experience

• Experience with work management systems would be advantageous
• Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
• Training will be provided. 

Education

College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
