Coding Provider Specialist

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Coding Provider Specialist to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
The coding specialist abstracts and enters charges for provider services that may occur in the hospital inpatient/outpatient, ambulatory surgery, or other PNHS outpatient facilities. Assigns appropriate CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, modifiers, fees and other third-party payer regulations in accordance with all associated contracts in an accurate and timely manner to ensure appropriate reimbursement. Completes retrospective chart documentation audits relative to denied claims, provider request and patient complaints.
Required Qualifications:
- Coding diploma/degree or equivalent coding experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCS, CPC, or RHIT certification
- Proficiency in the operation of personal computer, printer, telephone, photocopier and fax machine
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Medical records content and medical record completion
