Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, Office of General Services is seeking a qualified candidate to deliver and coordinate services within DEQ to include duties of Procurement and General Services disciplines associated with Central Office pool vehicles, facility management, fuel monitoring, mailroom, and stockroom. To assist, as needed, with maintaining the inventory of fixed assets in accordance to state guidelines by reviewing, entering, and maintaining the agency’s fixed asset. To work with the agency’s employees to assure new assets are properly reported and old assets are properly disposed of. To assist General Services with the following tasks, as needed, to assure employee’s general requests are attended to as quickly as possible including but not limited to: activation/deactivation of Sonitrol security cards; issuance of parking permit cards; issuance and return of central office pool vehicles; processing of daily mail; process 3rd floor BOA conference room requests, inventory management of General Services deliverables, and submitting BOA workorder requests.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of the state & federal guidelines regarding fixed assets, surplus, purchasing, reconciling, inventory, and auditing, record retention, state vehicle usage, postal rates/guidelines, UPS, and special shipping guidelines; demonstrated computer skills, demonstrated customer service skills, ability to handle multiple interruptions and juggle priorities throughout the day. Demonstrated skills in PC word processing and database operations (i.e., Word, Excel, Oracle, & Outlook). Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and maintain a valid driver’s license.
