Role Overview:
As a CNC Machine Operator at Qualdoc, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of CNC machinery, producing components that meet our high standards of quality and precision. You will work alongside a team of skilled professionals, and your contributions will directly impact on our ability to deliver top-notch products to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC Machines: Efficiently set up, program, and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling with precision. Ensure all cuts and fabrications meet required quality standards and specifications.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Analyze and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to understand job specifications and requirements. Utilize this information to set up and adjust machinery accurately.
  • Set Up and Adjust Machinery: Configure CNC machines with the appropriate fixtures, attachments, and tooling. Make necessary adjustments to machinery settings to optimize performance and ensure the highest quality output.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting parts. Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues to prevent downtime and maintain optimal machine performance.
  • Inspect Finished Products: Perform detailed quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards. Adjust as needed to correct any discrepancies or defects, ensuring every product is flawless.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with team members to achieve production goals and deadlines. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues promptly.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper procedures to minimize risks and promote safety.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator, with a focus on overhead crane operation.
  • Industry Knowledge: Must have experience with structural steel prints and a strong understanding of the steel or metal fabrication industry.
  • CNC Programming: Proficiency in CNC programming and the ability to make basic programming adjustments.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Stamina: Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Safety Conscious: A commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
