Dayforce Link is a comprehensive set of people, process, and technology, used to direct and regulate the data integration between internal and external systems.
Dayforce Link is a centralized, secure cloud solution for internal and edge-based file transfers, including data transformation. Dayforce Link collects, transforms, and delivers customer data both to and from internal Dayforce systems, as well as external trading partners.

What you’ll get to do

Application Administration, Configuration, & Maintenance

• Deploy containerized sterling applications with Kubernetes, optimizing resource utilization and system performance.
• Design and implement scalable cloud-based infrastructure solutions for Sterling B2Bi and associated systems using Azure/AWS services.
• Automate provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
• Develop robust API solutions to enhance application functionality.
• System testing, tuning and capacity planning
• Perform ifix’s and application upgrades
• Monitor active Business Processes and assigned schedules
• Experience with clustered architectures and associated High Availability, workload management and Disaster Recovery practices.
• Configure and manage Routing Channel Templates
• Design and support of Business Processes using the IBM Graphical Process Modeling tool
• Knowledge of Web services using methods such as soap and restful
• Create custom file layers and custom email notifications
• Perform technical configurations, such as network communications and adapter configuration
• Onboard new employees by creating and supporting user accounts and user groups
• Use audit records and trace logs to provide reporting as required

Security Standards

• Ensures all file transmissions and adapters are secured according to InfoSec standards
• Manage PGP Keys to ensure they are functioning as required
• Assist the Application Administrator with regular DR tests as required by Dayforce Risk Team
• Setup and manage services and adapters (i.e. SFTP, etc) including custom protocols as required
• Proficient in various B2B communication protocols such as FTPS, SFTP, HTTP, HTTP/S, AS2, etc

Environments

• Responsible for managing all environmental instances including Production, DR, Dev, and Test
• Ensures each environment is built appropriately and functioning as required
• Ensures data sets for each environment are sanitized as required
• Deploy Resource Manager objects from environment to environment

Incident Support (Tier 3)

• Act as an escalation point for Production Operators and Route Provisioners, by providing high-end technical support. This includes:
a. Product navigation (i.e. guidance around, and execution of complex tasks within the technology portfolio)
b. Data mining (i.e. investigating variances in data transactions totals)
c. Customer interaction (i.e. escalation point for customer concerns)
• Track and update all incidents in the incident management system, ensuring that documentation is thorough, accurate and meets ticket quality standards and is resolved in a timely manner.
• Review tickets for repetitive issues and collaborate with support teams to identify effective/sound solutions that will resolve these conclusively

Change Management

• Primary individual responsible for opening change requests
• Ensures all environmental changes follow the proper change controls

Skills and experience we value
• 5+ Years practical experience as an application architect
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems preferred
• Thorough knowledge in Unix/Linux platforms and writing shell scripts
• Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS
• Automation: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python
• Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker
• Programming: Java, Python, Shell scripting
• Databases: SQL, TSQL, Postgres
• Compliance: GDP
