Cloud Services Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Services Engineer to join our Cloud Architecture and Engineering team focused on Kubernetes and container orchestration. The Cloud A&E team designs and builds public cloud solutions globally at Equifax. We focus on providing automation solutions for Kubernetes cluster deployments, k8s-related tooling, GitOps designs and patterns, centralized container image builds, and more all in Google Cloud Platform. This is a high visibility role on a high visibility team that is revolutionizing how Equifax delivers systems and software. The work we do is making Equifax a better place to work! We’re a tight-knit group of like-minded individuals with a wide variety of technical backgrounds and experience ranging from software engineering to enterprise architecture. We believe everything should be automated and everything can be done with code.

What you will do

• Develop and implement short and long-term roadmaps for their respective domains

• Implement complex infrastructure products through engineering and automation that enables configuration and service management

• Provides guidance to technical staff within their domain

• Consult and advise on systems engineering and design

• Streamline deployment of infrastructure into consumable services

• Design new, automate where appropriate

• Full alignment with the Engineering Handbook guidelines and practices

What experience you need

• BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent job experience required; Master’s Degree preferred; AI/ML coursework preferred

• 7+ years of related work experience

• Certification in cloud or automation preferred

• Experience in one or more cloud environments (GCP preferred)

• Experience using one or more automation languages (Python,PowerShell, Go)

• Experience with programming languages (Java, C#, javascript) preferred

• Solid understanding of networking

• Experience with one or more other technologies (database, Big Data, AI, etc)

• Experience in AWS is a big plus, especially EKS & ECR

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification 

• Proven experience designing enterprise-grade kubernetes-based infrastructure, on-prem or in the cloud

• Demonstrated ability to guide large and medium sized projects from idea to delivery

• Strong experience authoring and maintaining Terraform modules

• Experience developing unit, integration, and functional test automation
