The Position
As a Cloud Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud security solutions that meet the needs of our organization. You will work closely with our engineering and security teams to ensure that our cloud infrastructure is secure.
Relationships
Administratively reports to the Senior Manager - Global Security Operations – Americas in Plainsboro, NJ and directly supports the Manager – Technology and Service Operations” in Denmark and within the Cloud Security Function.
Interacts with team members within Global Information Security, Global IT Operations, and other CVP areas within the Digital Data & IT department.
External relationships include suppliers and consultants.
Essential Functions
- Develop Cloud Security Operations strategy and working with business units to assess needed configurations and provide support for cloud initiatives including data analytics, IaaS, PaaS, FaaS, and CI / CD infrastructure
- Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise
- Monitor, analysis, and comprehension of reporting data is essential
- Configure, operations, and maintenance of various cloud security tooling
- Monitor tooling and logs for malicious events, conduct investigations, and incident response actions
- Develop Cloud Security Operations strategy and working with business units to assess needed configurations and provide support for cloud initiatives including data analytics, IaaS, PaaS, FaaS, and CI / CD infrastructure
- Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise
- Monitor, analysis, and comprehension of reporting data is essential
- Facilitate an involving and constructive dialogue with senior stakeholders and teams in relation to career progression planning and organizational competency requirements.

Physical Requirements
5% overnight travel required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering, cyber security, or computer-related fields
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in supporting IT services and external service providers, preferably in the Pharmaceutical Industry
- Minimum of 6 years of experience working on large IT projects
- Minimum 3 years of experience with IT Security and technologies in large corporations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience covering specification, design, implementation, and maintenance of IT security solutions in large organizations
- Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure
- Implementation and operations experience with native cloud security tools in AWS and Azure, and tooling like Microsoft Defender suite
- Deep understanding of technical capabilities of various cloud services and the best practices needed to protect them
- Ability to architect cloud solutions and services according to business requirements while maintaining the security posture of overall cloud infrastructure
- Relevant cloud and security certifications dealing with cloud architecture, cloud security, and general security topics
- Strong documentation and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of working in a production environment
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Strong general business understanding and ability to transition between technical and business discussions
