Cloud Platform, Reliability & Security Engineer

Pittsburgh, United Statesfull_timeVerifiedPosted 2 Apr 2026

About the role

Join our engineering team and help build the cloud platform that powers Jacobian's AI-driven radiology services. In this role, you'll own the reliability, security, and delivery infrastructure that clinical customers and internal engineering teams depend on every day.

You'll work across cloud operations, CI/CD, observability, and security - embedding best practices into the platform rather than bolting them on after the fact.

What you'll do

  • Design and operate SLOs, alerting, and incident response practices to keep clinical services reliable
  • Build and maintain centralized observability across metrics, logs, and distributed tracing
  • Design and maintain hardened CI/CD pipelines with security and quality gates, artifact signing, and SBOM generation
  • Enforce least-privilege access across cloud and Kubernetes environments, replacing long-lived credentials with short-lived, federated access
  • Implement cloud cost visibility and attribution by service and environment, with budgets and usage guardrails
  • Partner with backend, frontend, and AI teams to embed reliability and security early in the development lifecycle
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions related to runtime, security, and delivery
  • Support on-call rotations with a focus on sustainability and learning

Requirements

What you bring

  • Strong experience operating production systems in the cloud
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
  • Experience building or operating CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid understanding of cloud security and IAM
  • Experience with observability tooling across metrics, logs, and tracing
  • A track record of improving production reliability, not just maintaining it

Nice to have

  • Experience in healthcare, regulated, or high-reliability environments
  • Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization
  • Experience with container security and supply-chain tooling
  • Experience supporting AI or data-intensive workloads

Benefits

  • Join a fast-growing healthcare technology company shaping the future of AI in radiology
  • Work on meaningful products that improve radiology workflows and support better patient outcomes worldwide
  • Be part of a mission-driven team that values trust, quality, collaboration, and innovation
  • Enjoy flexible working hours and a hybrid work arrangement
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package
