Position Title & Overview:
The IT Services department is responsible for the operation and administration of Mediavine's information technology systems. This includes planning, organizing, and administering hardware and applications to enable employee success. In addition to hardware, desktop and cloud application administration and support, this position will also be responsible for implementing IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and smooth operation of Mediavine's IT systems. The IT Services team needs an experienced Cloud Applications Admin who can take on new projects and challenges while also supporting a remote company as it continues to grow.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Organize and administer the IT environment including both desktop and cloud applications, security and hardware
- Maintain infrastructure and processes related to Mediavine’s systems and provide support to include day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution
- Monitor and maintain the health of all cloud-based and desktop applications and processing environments, adjusting when necessary to improve performance
- Identify, document, automate and optimize maintenance tasks where needed
- Assist with the build-out, implementation, and ongoing management of IT policies and processes
- Ensure the security and reliability of Mediavine's IT systems, addressing any potential issues as needed
- Monitor the performance of Mediavine’s IT systems, offering recommendations for continuous improvement
- Troubleshoot and resolve systems and IT related incidents for end users, while also fulfilling requests for hardware, software and application access
- Provide support for live online events as well as IT productions support for onsite events
- As the team expands; assist in recruiting, training, and coaching new employees
- Required travel for our annual All Hands Retreat, Team Retreats/Meetings and/or industry events/conferences (approx. 15%)
Requirements
Location:
- Must currently live in the United States
You Have:
- BS/BA in computer science, business or a related field
- 5 + years of experience in a technical IT role, preferably in a start-up high-growth environment
- 2+ years experience with the administration of Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom and other cloud based applications
- Experience supporting a remote environment of 200+ employees
- Proven ability to quickly summarize and communicate complex information for multiple audiences
- Experience supporting technology (AV, streaming, conference) for both online and onsite events
- Strong understanding of technology concepts, especially the configuration of authentication (SAML and Oauth), authorization and security
- Strong understanding of IT policies and processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across the organization
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to travel up to approximately 15%
