The Senior Lead Application Developer job is responsible for overseeing the analysis, programming, and configuration of information technology systems software. This job develops complex software components and advises developers on best methods of software development and code creation. While working with the leadership team, this job provides project leadership for software development activities.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Map business needs to Technology Product deliverables.
Provide solutions for simple and complex workflows related to the Technology product.
Work as and work with Quant developers while owning the technology solution for CLOs.
Manage communication to the stake holders and participate in deeper conversations with Business and Technology teams to provide clarity of the tasks.
Support the Technology Product Manager/Leader in refining the short to medium term goals and prioritizing JIRA stories.

Nuveen is seeking a Technology Product Lead for the CLO product within Investment Technology team. The candidate will lead the CLO Technology product used by CLO Investment teams like PMs and Quants, engage with the Investments (PMs and Quants), Operations and Technology teams to develop and document clear understanding of Product requirements for issuing CLOs. CLOs as an asset class is an important, growing and strategic choice within Nuveen.
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience with writing code in Python.
2+ years of experience working with Quant or Quant technology teams within Fixed Income/Equity space.
2+ years of experience using python libraries to calculate position and portfolio level metrics.
Deeper understanding of Structured products, preferably CLOs.
General understanding of Asset Management Domain (Front, Middle or Back-office space).
Experience in engaging with Business Users and translating Business needs into JIRA Stories.
Understand security level identifiers, analytics for Fixed Income especially bank loans, CLOs.
Ability to write SQL queries and read stored procedures.
Experience to engaging and working with other Technology and Operations teams globally.
Data analysis using Excel like tools. Ability to verify data in files and/or in databases.
Preferred Skills:
Support Investment and Technology Product teams with market research and generation of insights to incorporate into the product design.
Experience with Quant development using Python (hands-on).
Knowledge of Fixed Income securities, Bank loans, structured products, especially CLOs.
Knowledge of data sets like IBOR holdings, transactions, Security master data, Prices.
Good analytical skills to breakdown problems and analyze situations.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Agile practices.
Anticipated Posting End Date:
2025-04-28Base Pay Range: $128,900/yr. - $210,000/yr.Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
