As a full time, exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Clinical Pharmacy Manager, you will serve as the leader of clinical pharmacy programs and services, develop a strong clinical team in a progressive healthcare environment and hospital which serves as a teaching facility. Responsibilities Include:
Developing and maintain drug policies to support excellent pharmaceutical care and promote optimal cost effectiveness for all patients
Assess, develop, coordinate, implement, and maintain clinically relevant tools to support Pharmacy programs and services
Aid the Director of Pharmacy in maintaining Pharmacy services
Support staffing needs as needed
Engage Pharmacy staff in professional development and competency
Participate in survey-readiness activities
Submit an annual clinical plan with the Regional Director of Clinical Service
Schedule: This position will work at least 40 hours per week primarily Monday through Friday.
Starting salary range: $140k to $170k annually (based upon experience).
About the Facility: McLaren Northern Michigan is a 202-bed regional hospital located in Petoskey, Michigan serving residents in 22 counties across northern Lower Michigan and the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula. More than 230 physicians represent nearly all medical and surgical specialties, enabling full-service care with an emphasis on cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences. McLaren Northern Michigan has a network of primary care providers and specialty care clinics throughout the region, and an outpatient surgery center in Cheboygan. It has achieved Magnet® status for nursing excellence, been named a Top 50 heart hospital in the U.S. by IBM/Watson Health, and received the highest national ratings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for quality and safety. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The central pharmacy is open 24 hours, 7 days per week and offers diversified clinical services. Pharmacy automation includes: electronic medical record (EMR) with CPOE and Omnicell.
Required Qualifications:
PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
Current Michigan Pharmacist license in good standing
Controlled Substance licensure in the state of Michigan
Experience as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting
Experience with anticoagulation dosing and monitoring, antimicrobial dosing and stewardship, surgical services, critical care, and oncology practices
Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency preferred
Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns and work cooperatively with other staff
Hospital Requirements: (may be required):
(PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
(MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
Hep B3 Series (or declination)
(Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
