First Shift (United States of America)

The Clinical Nutrition Coordinator will play a critical role in optimizing nutrition outcomes by providing expert guidance and leadership in clinical nutrition decision-making. This position involves collaborating with healthcare professionals and leaders to develop and implement evidence-based strategies and measure clinical outcomes to advance the practice of medical nutrition therapy at the organization. Leads research and advancements in clinical nutrition to ensure best practices are applied and advance clinical practice. Develops and implements clinical decision support tools, nutrition protocols, and guidelines to enhance the efficacy and accuracy of nutrition practice. Leads dissemination of new knowledge, utilization trends and outcomes information related to Clinical Nutrition care programs at the organization. Leads efforts to educate other disciplines regarding appropriate use of medical nutrition therapy.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years clinical practice experience required.

• Master's degree in nutrition/dietetics, management/administration, education or related area granted by a US regionally accredited college or university, or foreign equivalent within 12 months of transfer or hire OR equivalent combination of education and experience (one year of experience is equivalent to one year of education) required.

• Demonstrated excellence in clinical areas as displayed by ability to consistently and completely meet and contribute to updating standards of practice required.

• Completion of required nutrition and dietetics coursework and supervised practice through a Didactic Program in Dietetics and Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program in Dietetics, or Future Graduate Program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

• Ability to work independently, exercise creativity/innovation and be attentive to detail required.

• Strong interpersonal skills required with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment required.

• Ability to problem solve and exhibit strong judgment skills in a well-thought out and timely fashion and determine appropriate course of action in significantly complex situations required.

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development required.

• Basic knowledge in office computer tools such as Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook required.

• Ability to exhibit strong leadership, planning and organizational skills required.

• Knowledge and application of Nutrition Care Process and Terminology (NCPT); knowledge and application of Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) required.

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.

• Licensed Medical Nutrition Therapist (LMNT) by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in nutrition/dietetics, management/administration, education or related area granted by a US regionally accredited college or university or foreign equivalent preferred.

• Demonstrated experience and competency with quality improvement, outcomes monitoring, and/or process development in the healthcare arena preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis and interpretation preferred.

• Previous leadership experience preferred.
