Job Overview

The Clinical Data Normalization Specialist is responsible for supporting the clinical and operational needs of a pharmacy data normalization team within the Integrated Solutions Implementation division.

Responsibilities

Performs pharmacy data normalization by achieving the following:

  • Performing formulary mapping activities with focus on pharmacy applications onboarding.

  • Master knowledge of formulary mapping workflow

  • Develop subject matter expert knowledge in assigned BD applications.

  • Support the development and improvement of pharmacy data mapping tools and processes by applying observations and experiences gained from mapping workflow.

  • Demonstrate the ability to utilize third party applications to support BDL mapping and curation workflow.

  • Actively contribute to team meetings in order to ensure the team can effectively manage workflow, facilitate project completion, address issues, coordinate implementation activities and educate team members.

  • Contribute to the development of BD pharmacy applications by defining actionable enhancement requests and collaborating with development teams to ensure enhancements support more efficient and timely mapping workflow, improved customer experience and enhanced data quality.

  • Contribute to the prioritization of enhancement requests in collaboration with the Informatics and Mapping teams.

  • Represent the mapping team in a variety of multidisciplinary forums. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in a matrix organization to provide the best possible customer and stakeholder experience for formulary mapping.

  • Effectively interact with customers and facilitate timely completion of customer facing implementation activities.

  • Demonstrate the ability to lead the customer through change management within BD applications.

Education

•    Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or certification as a Pharmacy Technician or minimum 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree or certification

Experience
•   Bioinformatics or Clinical Informatics related experience is a plus. 

•   Experience in electronic Pharmacy data normalization practices and procedures  required. Must be knowledgeable of new trends in clinical management and information systems. 
•   Must have a thorough knowledge of Pharmacy practices and principles.
