Climate and Infrastructure Policy Analyst, Lead

The Opportunity:  

To operate effectively, organizations need help looking at their operation from the outside. Whether standing up a new organization, transforming an existing one, or transitioning an organization (e.g., merger, split-up), our clients need a change management consultant who will take the time to learn the complexities of their data and policies and provide them with tangible advice on business process improvements, mission success, and standard methodologies. 

That’s why we need you, an experienced management consultant who knows how to analyze every aspect of your customer’s operations and use your specialized experience to give them the roadmap to becoming the organization they envision. 

As a general management consultant on our team, you’ll develop an overall picture of your client’s current structure, day-to-day operations, and outcomes in a manner that they may not have thought of before. Through discussions and workshops with government stakeholders, you will identify the elements that work best in their environment and the areas for improvement. Once you have a thorough understanding of where and how the organization can improve, you will present the path forward—and the expected results—to executive leadership.

You Have: 

• 5+ years of experience conducting policy and data analysis

• Experience conducting data analysis using tools, such as Power BI or Tableau

• Ability to display creativity, sound judgment, and effective decision-making expertise when conducting policy analysis and developing recommendations for a diverse customer base

• Ability to work with senior leaders and respond to changing priorities

• Ability to adapt writing style to various audiences and formats

• Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to monitor and maintain project schedules and manage documents

• Ability to capture and prepare professional materials, including PowerPoint presentations and meeting notes

• Public Trust

• Master’s degree in Public Policy or Public Administration

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with policy and regulatory analysis in areas relating to road, rail, transit, or other surface transportation  

• Experience working with federal, state, and local government organizations

• Experience creating executive briefing materials 

• Ability to capture institutional knowledge through methods, such as interviews, policy review, and process analysis

• Ability to translate information, develop insights, and work alongside clients and their stakeholders

• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Possession of excellent critical thinking, analytical, quantitative, and data gathering skills

Vetting:

Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client; Public Trust determination is required.
