We are looking for a strong and savvy Client Finance Analyst to join Translation! Please note that this role is a Hybrid role based in our Brooklyn, NY office: three days in office and two days remote.

 

What You'll Do

• Work closely with Client Finance Manager and VP of Finance on all agency initiatives such as Production budget tracking, client billing, monthly project cost completion analysis, and cost reporting for our in-house production studio
• Partner with Client Finance Manager to manage the production lifecycle from signed estimates, project code setup, and cost tracking templates for client team reviews
• Meet with Production and Account teams biweekly to ensure Production costs are tracking within budget
• Maintain our Financial system with signed Production estimates and client contracts uploads
• Create and maintain management reports such as timesheet compliance, staff utilization, and production reconciliations.
• Work closely with Business Affairs to reconcile production costs against billed estimates in a timely manner for accurate revenue recognition
• Review vendor purchase orders for approval
• Support the Finance team with ad hoc internal financial reporting 
• Assist in the development of new processes and workflow
• Support accounting team with any administrative questions and concerns while making sure they  company policies and audit procedures are followed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must have a strong proficiency in Excel or Google sheets. 
• Must be able to work with datasets and help create narratives based on data and other metrics
• Exceptional communication skills when working with Account teams and Production
• Solution oriented with great attention to detail
• Must be proactive and willing to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of financial and/or accounting experience, preferably within an advertising, marketing, PR or service industry environment
• Experience with major financial systems such as SAP, Peoplesoft, NetSuite is a plus                                                                             

Preferred Qualifications

• NetSuite experience
• General accounting experience
• Experience with any cost tracking analysis and working with large production budgets

Salary Hiring Range: $70,000 - $85,000

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide (e.g. bonus, stock options, 401(k) match, etc.)
