Job Overview 

Davies Life and Health is looking for an experienced Client Engagement Lead to be responsible for the overall client experience with Davies Life & Health and the products and services it provides. You will work closely with clients in identifying, understanding, and meeting their specific needs and pain points. Success in this role will be demonstrated by improved client retention and satisfaction while growing new business opportunities with existing clients. The Client Engagement Lead reports to the Assistant Vice President, Information Technology.  

To be successful in this role, you need to effectively manage the performance and profitability of client relationships by establishing confidence in the management of the project and fostering excellent communication and collaboration skills between the client and Davies. You must be able to deal with complexity, analyze information, and be able to implement company vision. This role will require you to possess excellent team collaboration skills, including experience in dealing with multiple projects and multi-functional teams, and ability to coordinate across teams in a large matrix organization environment.  Additionally, you will need to be proactive, independent, and take initiative as this is a full-time, fully home-base position that may require some travel.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Builds and maintains client relations with the ultimate responsibility for a client's entire experience by managing client expectations and ensuring delivery of client requests
  • Be accountable for the revenue, profitability, and success of customer relationships.
  • Responsible for people-management between 5 and 10 direct reports including a mix of business analysts and developers 
  • Have direct project management responsibilities including development and management of project plans, project resource demand forecasts, project resource actuals, project financials, project statuses, and other project-related functions
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and follows ethical standards
  • Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Manage program and project teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
  • Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders
  • Prepare reports on the progress of the project, including resource allocation and profitability reports 
  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement efforts for our platforms including strategic modernization initiatives, process improvement projects, etc.

Experience and Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of project management experience or 2+ years of program management or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Client management experience required
  • Team leadership and/or management experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, organization, analytical, planning and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, based on client requirements

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of life, disability or long-term care insurance experience a plus
