The CAS Project Managers Team Leader oversees the PMs, multiple projects, possesses problem solving capabilities, and desires to lead and develop their team while simultaneously managing their own client list. Familiarity with a wide variety of industries, GAAP accounting standards, and exposure to payroll, sales tax, and managerial accounting is necessary to provide the technical guidance needed to produce quality financial reports. Client interaction could include delivering management reports and dashboards, consulting on accounting procedures, and providing QuickBooks Online or other accounting software training.
A CAS Project Managers Team Leader works closely with experienced Accounting, Tax and Assurance professionals to deliver excellent client services. Responsibilities include:
- Proactive client support and consulting
- Maintaining and downloading detailed client knowledge within the firm
- Review and release of monthly/quarterly/annual recurring projects with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Assists clients with strategic management decision making and consulting. Effectively manages client relationships and expectations.
- Oversees due date management for team and evaluates workload as needed for timely delivery.
- Collaborates with tax and assurance departments to help clients meet financial goals. Develops an understanding of tax strategy implications to consider when preparing financials.
- Responsible for timely project billing for assigned clients and provide feedback and accountability for team members with billing responsibilities.
- Supervises client advisory services team members to ensure they are developing and learning. Assists with problem solving and coaches on quality and efficiency.
- Sets expectations and team goals and communicates feedback effectively.
Preferred qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in related subject area, CPA or CPA eligible, minimum of 6 years of related experience.
