Cleaner

Job Purpose:

To maintain a clean, safe, hygienic and presentable environment throughout Leek Fire Station, ensuring all areas meet the required cleaning standards and health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities of the Cleaner:

Clean offices, communal areas, kitchens, toilets, washrooms and other designated areas.

Sweep, mop, vacuum and dust floors and surfaces.

Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.

Replenish consumables, including soap, toilet rolls and paper towels.

Use cleaning products and equipment safely and in accordance with COSHH requirements.

Report maintenance issues, hazards or damage to the appropriate person.

Maintain confidentiality and respect the operational environment of the fire station.

Follow site security procedures, health and safety policies, and cleaning schedules.

The ideal Cleaner will have:

Previous cleaning experience preferred.

Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

Good attention to detail and a professional approach.

Knowledge of basic health and safety and safe cleaning practices.

Able to work respectfully within an operational emergency services environment.
