Job Description Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:
Classroom Assistants are responsible for providing basic support and assistance to faculty and students in the classroom.

The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the job:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors secondary lab (lab without instructor).
• Answers student technical questions (within reason).
• Serves as a liaison between students in unattended lab and instructor teaching in adjacent lab.
• Performs instructional duties at the request of instructor (photocopying, student work organization, critique set-up, etc.).
• Technical assistance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of computer hardware and software. 
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator. 3D software (ZBrush, if possible).
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 
• Ability to communicate effectively in an office environment both orally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. 

Available Shifts:

Tuesdays 8:30am-11:15am

Fridays 12:30pm-3:15pm

Education and Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must be enrolled at Ringling College of Art and Design.

• Must be in good academic standing.
