Job Summary
Classified Services is responsible for Aerospace’s classified enterprise IT environment. As a Classified Systems Administrator (Systems Administration Staff III/IV), you will oversee server and endpoint infrastructure that supports some of the company’s most critical missions. You will join a company that develops cutting edge solutions for our nation’s most complex space enterprise and mission assurance challenges.
Work Model
This is a full-time position based in Huntsville, AL, which requires 100% onsite work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform all aspects of system administration, including:
- Installing, configuring, and patching operating systems and applications
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and group policies
- Maintaining and monitoring system performance and availability
- Responding to and resolving incidents, from Tier 1 user support through Tier 3 complex technical issues
- Administer, secure, and maintain a diverse infrastructure including:
- Windows Server/Active Directory, Windows 11, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Hyper-V, and Cisco IOS
- Docker & Kubernetes
- Administer and improve endpoint protection, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities
- Develop PowerShell and Ansible scripts to automate administration and compliance tasks
- Evaluate and remediate security findings from Tenable (ACAS) and SCAP/STIG tools
- Maintain compliance with RMF, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIG requirements
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for Systems Administration Staff III:
- Active Secret clearance
- DoD approved 8570 baseline certification such as Security+ or equivalent
- Minimum 6 or more years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree
- Proficiency with Windows Server/Active Directory, Windows 11, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Working knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs
- Demonstrated ability to remediate vulnerabilities identified by ACAS and SCAP tools
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for Systems Administration Staff IV include:
- Minimum10 or more years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree or, 8 or more years of relevant experience with Master’s Degree
- Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMWare VSphere) and Cisco networking (IOS, Nexus OS)
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience automating repetitive tasks with scripting or DevOps tools
- Knowledge and experience deploying SPLUNK and other cyber tools

- An active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Experience in designing, deploying, and securing complex IT architectures
- Experience with High Performance Computing clusters and workload managers (Slurm or SGE)

- Project management skills and experience
