Civil Engineer Scheduler

Triumph Construction is seeking a Civil Engineer Scheduler to develop, manage, and maintain project schedules for large-scale civil engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and a strong understanding of project sequencing, resource allocation, and risk management. This role requires close collaboration with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure efficient scheduling and timely project completion.
Requirements
Scheduling & Planning:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Define project tasks, durations, and dependencies to ensure a logical workflow.
- Work with engineers, project managers, and contractors to sequence activities efficiently.
- Track project progress and update schedules to reflect actual conditions.
Coordination & Communication:
- Conduct regular meetings to review the timeline, address issues, and coordinate next steps.
- Communicate schedule updates, potential delays, and adjustments to project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure labor, materials, and equipment are scheduled properly.
Risk Management & Analysis:
- Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays before they impact project completion.
- Analyze potential risks that could affect the schedule and develop mitigation strategies.
- Perform Critical Path Analysis (CPA) to identify key project activities and ensure efficiency.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of schedule changes and justifications.
- Provide progress reports and forecasts to project managers and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with contractual scheduling requirements and industry best practices.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in scheduling for civil engineering or heavy construction projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is required.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of project sequencing, resource allocation, and scheduling methodologies.
- Ability to interpret construction plans, contracts, and project specifications.
- Analytical skills to perform critical path analysis (CPA) and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
