We are actively looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Honolulu office. As part of the Civil Group, the Civil Engineer assists in managing projects from design conception through construction close out on a wide variety of project types, for both the public and private sector, including port/marina infrastructure, roadways, buildings, airports, bridges etc.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Assists in managing multi-discipline project design teams for projects across the Pacific, including subconsultants, and establish priorities, schedules, and scope of work
- Assists in planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of multidiscipline projects with varying degrees of technical complexity
- Prepare/review engineering scopes of work and budgets/estimates for proposals and track budget and schedule status throughout the course of each project. Monitor scope of work and scope changes
- Interface with clients as needed for successful project delivery. Address client requirements and manage client expectations regarding scope, schedule and quality on projects
- Communicate with staff and subconsultants to establish work priorities for projects
- Completes construction projects by preparing engineering design and documents and confirming specifications
- Designs construction projects by studying project concept, architectural drawings, and models
- Prepares engineering design by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data
- Determines project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs
- Creates feasibility study by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data
- Produces engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules
- Confirms adherence to construction plans and specifications by monitoring project progress and construction site visits
- Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests
- Complies with federal, state, and local code requirements
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from an accredited university degree program; required
- Master's in Civil Engineering; preferred
- 6 - 10 years of experience as a Civil Engineer
- Competence in general civil engineering design is required including roadway, paving, grading, drainage, H&H, water and sanitary sewer
- Ability to plan, schedule work and complete work assignments within established budgets and timelines
