The Role:

Facilitate and drive continuous improvement activities within a department through Root Cause Analysis, PDCA and Lean/ Six Sigma methodologies.

This is a full time, permanent role which reports directly to the CI Manager. This role is based at our legacy King Street site.

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Coach and train operators in continuous improvement principles including basic problem solving tools (5WHY, RCFA etc.) 
  • Implementation of Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) continuous improvement processes.
  • Accountability and ownership of Centre lining and Rapid change over systems.
  • Gather and analyse performance data to assist with the development of KPI and loss trees. 
  • Identify variances to targets and develop plans for performance in safety, quality, equipment reliability, waste reduction, productivity and efficiencies.
  • Facilitate and drive cost improvement projects within a portion through Root Cause Analysis, PDCA and Lean/ Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Drive safety and quality improvement through operator and process capability.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

About You:

  • Degree Level Qualification in Engineering, Food Science or minimum 5 years’ experience in the FMCG industry. 
  • Lean Six Sigma qualification (Yellow or Green Belt) desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to understand and coach management & continuous improvement systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio.
  • Experienced with Power bi and Tableau is preferable.
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifts to work with employees from all shifts as required.
