About the role

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED, and at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have interest in and ability to work and relate well with infants and children as well as family and co-workers.
  • Knowledge of facility policies and in-service requirements, and attend staff meetings.
  • Knowledge of indications, contraindications, and techniques for administering first aid.
  • Continually increase knowledge in the field of childhood education and development and be able to meet the requirements of the licensing agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement curriculum for the class according to the policies of the child care center, as set forth by the director.
  • Consider individual children in relationship to culture and socioeconomic background.
  • Treat children with dignity and respect.
  • Be responsible for the appearance, décor, and learning environment of the classroom.
  • Assume joint responsibilities of housekeeping in the center.
  • Implement methods of establishing a positive liaison with the parents of the children.
  • Be present at parent conferences on children’s adjustment and behavior in the child care center.
  • Assist in public-relations events, sponsored by the child care center.

Job Type: Full-time

Starting Pay-$15.00 p/h
