The Child Development Operations Manager has the responsibility to ensure child development centers’ compliance required by Head Start Performance Standards, state and local guidelines and accrediting organizations. Supervises the CSC’s and permanent supplemental staff. Provides support and guidance to child development center staff to ensure program outcomes. Under the supervision of the Director of Child Development, has the capacity to offer assistance to staff in the implementation and adaption of curricula to the group and individual needs of children. This position assists in managing the program implementation, supervision, and monitoring of services and reporting, and improving program outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required with preference in early childhood education (ECE) or child development.
- If degree is in a field other than ECE, must obtain an Infant/Toddler and Preschool CDA within one year of hire.
- Experience working with children.
- Experience working with children with special needs is highly desired.
- Experience with computers is highly desired.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Must be friendly, outgoing, and display a positive attitude.
