Position Purpose:
The Charis Operations Project Manager serves to lead major key projects and initiatives for Charis Bible College, ensuring successful execution across the full project lifecycle. This role will be comprehensively responsible for the successful completion of major operational, enrollment, and technology initiatives.
Essential Duties:
- Lead Charis Bible College’s highest priority expansion projects, related to Enrollment, Academics, and Campus Life, by defining charters, scopes, tasks, and critical paths, while adhering to budgets and timelines.
- Demonstrate ministry-wide project management leadership, developing and implementing strategies to ensure our expansion projects align with Charis Bible College’s core values and culture.
- Provide strategic and effective support to managers and directors across departments, including, but not limited to, process and system design, information flow, workflow optimization, and performance measurement, including providing comprehensive project management services as needed to other departments.
- Assess and apply appropriate project management methodologies.
- Scope out projects to determine time, cost, quality, and resource requirements, recommend staffing solutions, outsourcing, and other innovative approaches, and ensure technical feasibility.
- Develop and track measurable objectives for each project, ensuring continuous monitoring, resolving issues as they arise, and adjusting strategies as necessary to meet intended project outcomes.
- Identify risks, constraints, or other failure points in projects, and communicate and address them as needed with all necessary stakeholders.
- Facilitate project reporting and major stakeholder meetings with departments and third parties to maintain alignment and ensure milestones are met.
- Manage technology projects by understanding technical requirements and ensuring stakeholder deliverables align with objectives.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and oversee ad-hoc sprint projects, as required.
- Maintain a high-level schedule of all projects, delivering appropriate high-level updates to key leadership.
- Proactively identify additional stakeholders, as necessary, within the project scope and successfully onboard them to the project.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, conducting cost-benefit analyses for potential implementation.
- Research best practices of other similar ministries and utilize that knowledge to develop recommended best practices that fit the unique culture of Charis.
- Maintain professional development through educational opportunities, networking, and industry research.
- Lead vendor selection processes, as directed, by gathering requirements, evaluating options, and presenting formal proposals to executive-level leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality of information in all aspects of the role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
