Overview
Sigma Squared is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team. You'll work closely with our data scientists to develop and deploy our proprietary algorithms, and play a pivotal role in delivering for our customers. This role is based in our Cambridge, MA office and is on-site full time.
Key Responsibilities
Work with customers to understand their processes, customize integrations to their needs, and ingest & make sense of large quantities of data.
Write high quality, testable, maintainable code - working closely with data scientists and other engineers.
Share ideas for improving the product, the technology, and the process.
Contribute to code reviews, infrastructure improvements, software architecture, and more.
Qualifications
3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including building reliable integrations with third party APIs.
An eagerness to work closely with clients, deep empathy for our customers, and a friendly, flexible disposition.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent additional professional experience.
This role is based in our Cambridge, MA office and is on-site full time.

Hosting: Amazon Web Services - CloudFormation, Lambda, Batch, ECS, S3, etc.
Databases: DynamoDB
Data Science: Python, pandas
Some things you'll probably do
Onboard new customers and help get them live, navigating the complexities of securely gaining access to sensitive data and integrating it into our platform.
Build a bespoke customization or feature for a specific client to rapidly deliver value, then work with the team to generalize & deliver it to other clients
Engineer a new feature with the data science team to input into a data science model.
Integrate with a new external data provider to ingest data automatically.
Rearchitect parts of the backend to support additional scale or improve performance.
Improve the data management and admin backend with new features.
Work with an AI LLM to automate part of the data transformation process.
