IT Concepts is looking for an experienced Career Candidate Coach to support our USAID customer. The Assignments and Career Counseling Team assess and monitor efforts to prepare C3s Junior Officers and Mid-Career Officers for their careers in USAID. Career Candidate Coaches provide professional development advice and guidance to new C3 FSOs; assess and advise on individual’s skills and competencies, tenure requirements, and annual performance evaluations; assist new officers prepare and implement individual development plans (IDPs); and assist others in HCTM in providing overall policy/regulatory guidance and interpretation and resources for new officers, their supervisors and Agency personnel.
Location: Telework approved but candidates must be willing and able to commute to the DC HQ for USAID on a as needed basis.
Responsibilities:
Career Candidate Coaches typically perform the following kinds of functions:
- Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs.
- Provides strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff.
- Provides detailed analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission-critical challenges/issues.
- Consults with the client to define need or problem.
- Supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- 15 years of experience with serving the federal sector.
- 8+ years of experience supporting USAID as a Foreign Service Officer.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required client Facility Access.
- Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC.
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred:
- Ability to learn Excel calculations, analyze reports, and draw insights into data.
- Master's degree.
