Senior Account Director, Lifestyle

What will you do? 

A day in the life of a Senior Account Director of Lifestyle at Dickies looks a little like this. 

Senior Account Director of Lifestyle is responsible for leading, management, and development of our Lifestyle business. In leading and directing a team, this position will drive key business analysis and processes used to shape sales structure, channel / customer strategy, business planning, and overall revenue / profitability improvement.  This role operates within Sales Department and covers the U.S. Lifestyle channel. You will collaborate closely with functional leaders in Merchandising, Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance, Strategy, Consumer Insight, and Human Resources. Additional relationships include, but are not limited to, other VF sourcing entities, outside vendors, and contractors. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the overall brand strategy relating to revenue, gross margin, and operating income. This includes overseeing sales volume, inventory management, internal and external margin mix, and MAP adherence. This position reports to the Senior Director of Sales.

  • Lead team to open newly targeted Key Accounts and build relationships to grow long term businesses. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with customers and prospects. Ensure all customer program requirements are clearly defined with the customer and internally. Establish and maintain open communication with buying office.  
  • Work with team to deliver presentations to customers and internal stakeholders in person, on the phone and electronically. Maintain regular contact with retail management and internal stakeholders to facilitate sales growth.  
  • Develop a firm understanding of the market and develop/execute strategies to maximize sales. Leverage/understand how Dickies categories drive total retailer success. Develops detailed account plans and strategies for growth.  
  • Gather and maintain data on sales, shipments, inventory levels, forecasts and current trends and generate corresponding reports. Have a firm understanding of sales results, sales funnel and be able to explain what is going on in the business.  
  • Drive volume increases and increases door count penetration in the Lifestyle retail account base.  
  • Utilize vendor web sites to view and analyze POS, inventory, and item information. Analyze gathered data and make proactive recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.  
  • Collaborates with Merchandising, Marketing and Operations to execute account plans. Develop and maintain an expertise in Dickies products as well as competition.  
  • Prioritizes business opportunities to ensure the team is focused on the most important.  
  • Proactively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to prevent and solve problems.  
  • Assist in new product set-up and item maintenance.

  • Highly proficient in Office, Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook  
  • Experience and ability to leverage consumer insights to increase sales
