Where the chemistry happens…

 

The Lead Digital Construction (LDC) within the Technical IT Expertise Department is supposed to be the go-to person for the Construction Engineering community in North America for digitalization topics. As the regional owner of all Construction Engineering applications the LDC is familiar with all core processes of the discipline and is proactively and continuously improving and digitalizing core construction processes addressing pain points and managing application cost. The LDC is globally aligned with his/her counterparts in other regions and fosters global exchange. The LDC is the main contact for all mobile topics in the region and will push mobile usage in the field. Furthermore, the LDC is the application owner of core applications of further engineering disciplines. This can include odd hours and weekend work if required.

 

As a Lead Digital Construction, you create chemistry by…

 

• Driving Innovation, implementing solutions, Requirements Engineering.
• Creating an alignment with Construction community about core processes and the related IT landscape.
• Applicating Support and IT Application Ownership.
• Creating a regional Leadership of Construction application portfolio, Community management and a Global alignment of Construction topics.

 

If you...

 

• Experience in Engineering IT.
• Proficient in Second Level support and with respect to the Engineering IT landscape, as well as proficient knowledge of data management and IT related tools and systems.
• Working IT knowledge of Microsoft SQL databases, XML/JSON, Power BI, and similar technologies.
• Intermediate domain knowledge of Engineering processes and workflows
• Intermediate knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies and how to apply them with new solutions in the field, intermediate knowledge of Requirements Engineering and Intermediate leadership skills influencing and managing communities.
• Proactively pushing innovation and Continuous Improvement.
• Self-starter with good organizational, communication and planning/scheduling skills and ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholder community (inside and outside BASF).
