JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Chief Strategic Communications Executive will be responsible for managing the Fee Board’s brand image, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring that our communication efforts align with the Fee Board's objectives of transparency and accountability. You will have the unique opportunity to tell the story of the University Park Fee Board and to spread awareness about the Fee Board’s role in supporting student life.  

 

The Chief Strategic Communications Executive will oversee the University Park Fee Board’s communications efforts.

 

Key Challenges and Opportunities  

  • Developing robust strategic communication plans and protocols to mitigate risks and protect the Fee Board's reputation.  

  • Keeping up with the ever-changing landscape of communication channels, from social media platforms to emerging technologies, and adapting strategies accordingly. 

  • Exploring creative and innovative ways to tell the UPFB’s story, making it more compelling and memorable.

  • Communicating our commitment to transparency and accountability to stakeholders. 

Qualifications  

  • Must be in academic good-standing. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling messages for different audiences and channels. 

  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite to create visually appealing content for digital channels. 

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing comprehensive communications plans and event management logistics for organizations or events. 

  • Knowledge of digital marketing techniques and social media platforms and their role in building brand awareness and engagement. 

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. 

  • Familiarity with media relations and experience in serving as a spokesperson for organizations. 

  • Understanding of branding principles and the ability to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all communications.
