The unit delivers continuous monitoring and evidence-based interventions to support respiratory, nutritional, and developmental needs, while emphasizing family-centered care and safe transitions to discharge.</span></span><span> </span></p><p></p></div><div><p><span><span>Performs care<span> </span></span><span>requiring</span><span><span> </span>substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological,<span> </span></span><span>physical</span><span><span> </span>and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Must<span> </span></span><span>possess</span><span><span> </span></span><span>ability</span><span><span> </span>to supervise LPNs, CNAs, Techs, Unit Secretaries, and Clinical students. All employees will continually<span> </span></span><span>monitor</span><span><span> </span>and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.</span></span><span> </span></p></div><div><p></p><p><b><span>Description:</span></b><span>  </span></p></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Conducts and documents patient assessments, monitors condition changes, and updates care plans as needed. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Provides patient care<span> </span></span><span>in accordance with</span><span><span> </span>hospital policies, procedures, and physician orders. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Develops</span><span><span> </span>individualized patient and family education and discharge plans using a multidisciplinary approach. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Communicates</span><span><span> </span>effectively with physicians, supervisors, patients, and healthcare team members to support quality patient care. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Demonstrates critical thinking, sound judgment, and<span> </span></span><span>appropriate delegation</span><span><span> </span>in routine and emergency situations. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Prioritizes workload, coordinates patient flow, and completes assignments efficiently within scheduled shifts. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Supports teamwork, staff development, and professional growth while serving as a resource to others. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Maintains<span> </span></span><span>required</span><span><span> </span>licensure, completes mandatory training, and follows all safety and regulatory requirements.</span></span><span> </span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><p></p><p><b><span>Requirements:</span></b><span>  </span></p></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Associate degree in Nursing<span> </span></span><span>required</span><span>;</span><span><span> </span></span><span>Bachelor’s</span><span><span> </span>degree preferred. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with current RN licensure<span> </span></span><span>required</span><span>. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>No prior experience<span> </span></span><span>required</span><span>; patient care experience preferred. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Current Kentucky RN license or Kentucky work permit<span> </span></span><span>required</span><span>. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Required <span>certifications/training</span> include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, Glucometer Training, and Aegis Training. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>BLS certification must be obtained within<span> </span></span><span>30 days</span><span><span> </span>of<span> </span></span><span>hire</span><span>. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications must be obtained within<span> </span></span><span>90 days</span><span><span> </span>of hire. </span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Glucometer and Aegis Training<span> </span></span><span>required</span><span><span> </span>upon hire<s
